REMINDERS
I. Always make sure you're using traits that match your MYO Ticket's rarity ( or lower ). If you have an Add-On, you may use it to override this for a trait!
II. Always use the Import Base Templates!
III. Remember you cannot edit your Mime Dog's line work or add/remove accessories upon Approvals. You'll need to do this in the Rainbow Salon once your Mime Dog has been approved and has an Import in the Master Book!

NOTES
- These rules also apply to other fur traits ( e.g. Mane, Extra Fur ), and keratin traits ( i.e. Horns, Teeth )
- These rules also apply to body Mutations ( e.g. Alar )
- The Exclusive Mutation allows for one (1) Trait or Mutation to be designed as the player pleases, without needing to follow any of the existing Traits!
{ Patterns and Gradients }
A Mime Dog's design is made of two things: its physical traits, and its patterns! Because a Mime Dog's appearance doesn't depend on genes, these can widely vary, but have some limitations:
Allowed:
Not Allowed:
Notes:
- Solid, soft, textured, and faded brush strokes
- Abstract patterns
- Natural patterns
- Loose-shape outlines ( e.g. stars, circles, hearts )
- Loose gradients and gradients contained within markings
Not Allowed:
- Rigid or complex geometric shapes ( e.g. triangles, squares. Does not include naturally-occurring shapes, like lines )
- Letters and numbers
- Objects and beings ( e.g. butterflies, fish, plants )
- Markings that resemble body parts in detail ( e.g. scales, noses, wings, paw pads, mustaches, spikes )
- Gradients or soft markings that strongly resemble shading/lighting on the body.
Notes:
- These rules do NOT apply to exposed skin ( e.g. around the eyes, the lips ) or eyes. The maximum patterning skin and eyes can contain is natural mottling.
- Any patterning should loosely follow the Mime Dog's fur direction.

{ Colors }
The colors of a Mime Dog can make or break its design! However, remember some rules are to be followed when giving your Dog life!
Allowed:
Not Allowed:
Notes:
- Earthy colors
- Pastel colors
- Vibrant colors
- Monochromatic palettes
Not Allowed:
- Neon or overly saturated colors
- Colors that create visual aberrations or cannot be discerned, causing eyestrain.
- Glowing colors ( this is allowed with the Magical Mutation )
Notes:
- These rules DO apply to exposed skin ( e.g. around the eyes, the lips ) and eyes!
- We suggest avoiding absolute white ( #FFFFFF ) and absolute black ( #000000 ), as these can be visually harmful for the color palette's harmony; off-white and off-black combine better with other colors!

{ Personalization: Line Work }
Although the mandatory design of a Mime Dog ends at the markings and colors, there's still more we can do! Coloring the line work is an easy way to make a design pop, but it can be a bit tricky to do.
Allowed:
Not Allowed:
- Line work that is black in its entirety ( default )
- Line work that is darker than what it sits on top of
- Line work that is lighter than what it sits on top of ONLY if it sits over near-black colors
Not Allowed:
- Line work that is lighter than what it sits on top of ( if it doesn't sit on top of black. This is allowed with the Magical Mutation )
- Line work that is a different hue than what it sits on top of
- Line work that is vibrant or neon
- Erased or faded line work
- Edited line work ( you may only edit line work through the Rainbow Salon ).

{ Personalization: Halos }
Another great thing to spice your Import up is to add halos! Since halos are an addition to the Import and are not already drawn, they can be tricky to make.
Allowed:
Not Allowed:
Notes:
- Halos that are solid, soft, or faded.
- Halos that surround the Import in its entirety, and do not stray from it
- Halos that are a dull darker or lighter grey color
- Halos that are thin and not too noticeable
- Low-opacity halos that darken or lighten the background they touch in a subtle way
- Mix and match different halo styles!
Not Allowed:
- Halos that are textured, or contain holes
- Halos that only surround one part of the Import, or that stray from the general outline
- Halos that are of any noticeable color that doesn't resemble grey
- Halos that are so thick they resemble a sticker outline or are too noticeable
- Halos that are so bright they resemble glow ( this is allowed with the Magical Mutation )
Notes:
- Halos must always go below the Mime Dog's layers and cannot affect the design in any way.
- A good way to create proper halos is to select the Mime Dog's layers/folders and increase the selection by 1-4 pixels before filling in the selection in a new layer.
- If using a solid and dark halo, it's recommended that it doesn't surpass the 2 pixels of width outside of the Mime Dog.
